Let's talk weddings!
I specialize in intimate weddings (100 guests or less).
I'll be completely honest with you, when I first became a professional photographer in 2017, I swore I would never do weddings. Flash forward to now, and they're one of my favorite things to photograph. You would think that would have taught me to never say never! I always thought they were way too high stress, and I didn't think I would enjoy that, so I stayed away from them. That was until a former client asked me to photograph her wedding in 2018. My immediate response was, "I don't do that." She persisted though, and assured me it would be a small wedding (80 or so guests) and I eventually caved. Not long after she asked me, one of my friend's brothers and his fiancé asked me to photograph their wedding that following spring. I figured I had to say yes to that too, so I did.
After I actually photographed the first wedding in October of 2018, I had a complete shift in mindset. I LOVED weddings. Yes, it is a lot of stress and A LOT of work, but I get to capture one of the most precious times in these people's life. How special is that?! To be able to freeze these moments in time for them to look back on in 5, 10, 30 years, is an amazing gift.
Now that you know my back story with weddings, let me tell you why I whole heartedly believe you should invest in your wedding photos. And I'm not just telling you this because I'm the photographer charging the money. I'm telling you this because I believe it 100% and I would hate to know that when you look back at photos from this day 10 years down the road, you regret not making an investment in them.
You spend months on end, maybe even a year, planning this one day. This one day will be one of the most monumental days of your life. It should be documented and documented well. Being in this industry, I've heard horror stories about couples who didn't invest in wedding photos, and it breaks my heart for them. My point is, PLEASE don't let this be one of the areas of your wedding where you say, "oh I don't need to spend that much." It doesn't matter if you choose me, or another photographer, I just beg you to put this near the top of your list. It may not seem like a huge decision now, but I promise you that years down the road it will be.
So, if you do decide to go with me as your photographer, I want to tell you a little about what you can except from me before, during, and after your wedding day. First of all, I want to know all about you two! I want to get to know you, and I want you to get to know me too! Couples spend most of their wedding day with their photographer, so it's important to feel comfortable with each other. We'll meet up and grab a cup of coffee and get to know one another better!
I'm a huge planner, so I'm here to help you plan your sessions! From engagements, to bridals, to first looks, we'll plan it all! If you choose to have me take your engagements, I can help you decide on a location, and whatever else you may need help with. Leading up to your wedding day, we'll pick a day to do bridal portraits, if you choose to have those done. Once it's closer to your wedding day, I can help you with a timeline for photos. I've found this to be super helpful to make sure you get all of the photos that you want. I'll be by your side throughout your wedding day, capturing the special moments, and all of those little in between moments too.
I would love to talk with you more! You can fill out a wedding contact form and we can set up a time to chat so I can give you more information and answer any questions you may have. Here's to new beginnings!
*Wedding packages start at $1700 for four hours coverage.*
