I'm Abby, the girl behind the lens here at Abigail Smith Photography. I'm a freelance photographer capturing intimate weddings, elopements, newborns, and families. I'm currently based in the southeastern US, specifically Hattiesburg, MS, but I'm always happy to travel!

 

I have been doing photography for almost 10 years and like most, photography started out as just a hobby for me. But when I started taking photos for others, I really fell in love with it. 

 

Being able to work with people to capture these special, yet fleeting moments is such a joy. My main focus has changed over the last few years. I've done a little bit of everything- from newborns and families to weddings to senior portraits. The great thing about dabbling in so many different forms of photography is that I've gotten to learn what I love to photograph best, and that would be intimate weddings and sweet newborns. 

 

My passion for photography is just as great as my love for travel, and they work beautifully together. Meeting new clients in different cities all over the country is so special. It puts such a unique twist to a simple session when you are able to tell a story about walking the Brooklyn Bridge at sunrise for a couples session, or watching the sunset over Lake Wenatchee after a stunning elopement.
