Having a photography studio of my own was something that I had dreamt of for years. I had a "Future Studio" Pinterest board for years that I would keep adding to, waiting for the day I would have a space to call my own.

In April of 2023, I purchased a cute little "she shed" that had so much potential. Over the next six months, with A LOT of help from my parents, we turned an empty shed into my photography studio which is located in Hattiesburg, MS.

The main reason I wanted a studio in the first place was for newborn sessions. Now, don't get me wrong, I love an in-home newborn session, but not every couple wants to have photos done in their home. Having in-home newborn sessions tend to be a little more stressful because, not only do you have a brand new baby that you have to take care of, but you have to clean your home (or at least a couple of rooms) to get ready for the session. On top of that, I've found that siblings (especially young ones) tend to be a little more wild at home than at the studio, which can stress mom and dad out even more.

When you book a newborn session in the studio, you don't have to do anything except get dressed and bring baby to me. I have a selection of newborn swaddles, outfits, headbands, baskets, and blankets to pick from, so even if you haven't bought anything for the session, there's no need to worry.

I've also used the studio for family and maternity sessions, 1st birthday shoots, and portrait sessions as well. I have a few different chairs to pick from and a couple of different paper backgrounds as well, so there are plenty of options to mix things up. And there is an outdoor space for pictures too, so you're not limited to just indoors if you want to mix it up a little.

If you're interested in booking a session at the studio, feel free to contact me here. Photographers, I am also open to renting the studio out to you for you to use for your own sessions, so please don't hesitate to reach out!
